Wear the Tarpons team swimsuit, or if you don’t have one, a black swimsuit. If you still need a team suit, visit Finish Line Sports and tell them that you’re with the Tarpons.

6:15-ish PM Annual duck race

The annual duck race is our team’s primary fundraiser for the year. The rubber ducks that you buy will be raced down Ellis Creek in a fun event for the whole family, starting soon after the team photo. The first lucky ducks across the finish line in each heat will win one of our great prizes, including these possibilities:

Ducks will be for sale at practices this week -- $15 cash or check. (Credit card ducks are on the Shop page.) If you bought ducks on your registration form, or online, you can stop by during practice to choose your favorite number or design, through Friday (after that, we’ll assign you a duck.)

Duck sale times: Thursday - 4:50-7:00 PM & 7:15-8:00 PM ; Friday - 4:50- 6:00 PM

6:45-ish PM Family swim party & Dinner

NEW this year – food trucks for the kickoff party! Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers and Tu-Go Kitchen (w/veggie option) will have trucks at the party, making it easy to purchase dinner for yourself and your family. A percentage of each food purchase is donated to the Tarpons.

The kickoff party is a pool party for the whole family – parents and siblings are invited and welcome to swim.
