1. Volunteer registration starts at 8 AM

Tomorrow morning, May 16, at 8 AM is your first opportunity to choose volunteer shifts. Meets 1 and 2 (only) will be open for signup. To sign up, go to the Schedules page on the website, and click on the Job Signup button next to the meet you’re volunteering for.

Q: Why are only two meets open tomorrow?
A: We’re trying something new, to try to make signup more accessible to all families. The rest of the meets will open in a second signup, time to be announced (watch your email and the website!)

Q: There aren’t enough jobs in the first two meets for me to sign up for all 5 of my required half-meet shifts.
A: (That’s not a question… ) It’s okay that you can’t sign up for all of your shifts in the first two meets, because we will need volunteers for the last three meets, too. In this round, you are limited to 3 half-meet shifts per family* -- extra shifts beyond 3 will be released for others.
*Exception: You may sign up for two 2-point jobs, like age group parent, for a total of 4 shifts.

Q: Can I sign up for any job?
A: You can only sign up for Stroke Judge if you plan to (and do) attend a 2018 league clinic for Stroke Judges. Age Group Parent spots are reserved for families who have a child in that group. If a job specifies “experienced,” you should know how to do the job before signing up.

Q: What’s the deadline for signing up?
A: You must choose all 5 of your required half-meet shifts by Meet #2, June 11.

2. Saturday Coaches’ Clinic, May 19

Our first Saturday Coaches’ Clinic will be this Saturday, May 19, from 8:30-9:30 AM at The Club, focusing on freestyle and backstroke. To attend, RSVP on the Schedules page by noon on Friday. The fee for the clinic is $15, cash only, paid Saturday.

3. Tarpons Yard Signs

New Tarpons yard signs are available now on the Shop page of the website. Orders are due by May 23 – check them out, and show your Tarpons spirit!
