1. Volunteer registration continues at 4 PM, May 20

Sunday afternoon, May 20, at 4 PM is when the rest of the volunteer shifts open for the season. All 5 meets will be open for signup (Meets 1 & 2 are mostly full). To sign up, go to the Schedules page on the website, and click on the Job Signup button next to the meet you’re volunteering for.

Each family needs to sign up for exactly 5* half-meet shifts for the season (including the ones that you chose this week). Please do not sign up for extra shifts – you are always welcome to help more at the meets, but allow others to sign up for their share of the spots. Extra shifts beyond 5* will be released for others, at the discretion of the volunteer coordinators (who are, themselves, most-appreciated volunteers); delete your own extra shifts right away if you want to retain a specific five.
*Exception: You may sign up for three 2-point jobs, like Age Group Parent, for a total of 6 shifts.

Q: Can I sign up for any job?
A: You can only sign up for Stroke Judge if you plan to (and do) attend a 2018 league clinic for Stroke Judges. Age Group Parent spots are reserved for families who have a child in that group. If a job specifies “experienced,” you should know how to do the job before signing up. There is an information link next to each job (looks like “i” in a circle) for more details.
Note that Age Group Parents will be required to complete the league’s background screening form, if you have not already (you will receive a link to the form next week).

Q: What’s the deadline for signing up?
A: You must choose all 5 of your required half-meet shifts by Meet #2, June 11. You can add and delete signups on a meet until Friday before that meet.

Q: I need a specific kind of job; can you help me?
A: If you have a physical limitation or other need for a specific type of job, our volunteer coordinators will do their best to help you choose a suitable solution. Email [email protected] NOW to describe your need – it’s way harder to find those solutions after all the jobs are spoken for!

Q: Where can I learn more?
A: Click here for links to each of our volunteer information pages, and information on how to contact our volunteer coordinators.
