Meet Monday Update! (Meet #2)

It's looking like a damp day, and we want you to be in-the-know, so here's how to get the very latest information about the Tarpons and possible rain delays on meet day. Remember that we swim when it's raining, if it's not lightning!

1) Call our rainout line, 281-397-2220

The rainout line is a recorded message where rain-related updates are posted as soon as the official decision is made. If there is no update, it's because things are still being decided -- keep calling back. It's old-school, but it works, and it can handle all of our 130 families calling at once.

2) Check our Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/NewTerritoryTarpons

Up-to-the-minute information from the Tarpons Board is generally posted on Facebook (it's easy to post there from a phone). If you want email updates, you can Like our page, then choose "Get Notifications" from the Like button menu. Facebook posts also show up in the feed on our Tarpons website home page.

3) Follow @NTTarpons on Twitter, http://twitter.com/nttarpons

You don't have to have a Twitter account to read what is posted there. If you don't have the link handy, you can Google @NTTarpons and Twitter to find us. If you want email updates, you can turn on notifications for @NTTarpons (from the Twitter app, tap on the person icon).

Important:

Unlike our rainout line, our fearless president and meet director's phone can't handle all of our 130 families (plus the visiting team) emailing/calling her at once! Please email Mel on meet day ONLY if you have a very specific, unique question that requires her expertise. For general questions, our websiteanswers a lot of what you might need to know (see links below). If you can't find it there, the Facebook page is a fine place to ask a question that many people on the board/team can answer, or you can check the Contacts page on the website to find the board members who are directly related to your question.
